Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas star in this Spanish film about two egomaniacs commissioned to make a movie together – a sharp comedy skewering wealth, art, and pride.  Banderas’ film star and Martínez’s stage actor vie for the attention of Cruz’s wayward director in this filmmaking satire. Filmmaker Lola is approached by an ageing business mogul  to make a film, his legacy for the world, the only condition for casting was that she choose ‘the best’ – she pits acclaimed snobbish actor Ivan against handsome superficial screen icon Felix, believing that the tension between the two can only help the film’s dynamic. She couldn’t be more right.

As Theo’s career nose-dives while Ivy’s own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites in this wonderfully wry, dark comedy.
