Saturday December 17th DREAM HORSE
A British film based on an incredible true story of a race horse bought, bred and raced by a
small village in Wales. With little money and no experience, a motley crew of villagers chip in
their limited earnings to help raise a foal on an allotment, and then compete with the horseracing elite. Starring Toni Collette and Damian Lewis, ‘Dream Horse’ is a classic tale of triumph against adversity, as an ordinary woman makes her wildest dream come true and the
horse becomes a beacon of hope for their struggling community. A really heart-warming film.

A Danish movie about drinking. There’s a theory that a small amount of
alcohol in our blood and modest inebriation opens our minds to the world
around us, diminishing problems and increasing creativity. Intrigued, four
high-school teacher friends embark on a risky experiment to maintain a
constant level of intoxication throughout the working day. Initial results are
positive, but some bold acts carry severe consequences. A profound yet
playful midlife-crisis tale, which won a Bafta for Best Foreign Language
Film, and an Oscar for Best International Feature.

October 29th WILD MEN

A Danish black comedy. Feeling emasculated by the modern world, Martin flees his
family to live high in the Norwegian mountains, clothed in furs, and hunting and gathering
like his ancestors. But his rather questionable self-actualisation project is interrupted
when he meets Musa, a drug runner lost in the woods. Together, this odd couple join
forces as they are chased through the wilderness by local police chief, Musa’s rivals and
Martin’s rather irritated wife. An unusual and darkly humorous comedy of errors.
