Starring Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter, ‘One Life’ tells the true emotional story of ‘Nicky’ Winton, who in 1939 rescued 669 Jewish children from the Nazis. In Prague 1938, Nicky found families fled from Nazi Germany, living in desperate conditions, under the threat of the invasion of Czechoslovakia. It was a race against time – how many children could he rescue before the borders closed? Fifty years later, Nicky is still haunted by the children he wasn’t able to bring to safety. And then the television show, ‘That’s Life’, decides to tell his story…
