Black Shuck Distillery
Over the last 18 months we have been working on plans to move the distillery from our home to new premises in Hindolveston. As Black Shuck approaches its 14th anniversary, this will open many new opportunities for Norfolk’s Legendary Spirit.
We are excited to tell you that all the construction work is now complete. The builders, plumbers, electricians, decorators, carpenters et al have almost finished and we will be moving lock, stock, still and barrel in the next few weeks.
We would love to show you around before we open the doors to the public. Hence we are extending an exclusive invitation to residents of Hindolveston (over 18s) to join us on Friday 28th March between 5pm and 7pm. During your visit you will be offered a guided tour of the new distillery together with a chance to enjoy The Barn where you will find our new bar, refreshments, seating, bathrooms and the Black Shuck shop.
Please note that we will not be open for public visitors until April 1st.

THE GO-BETWEEN
A showing of the classic 1971 film ‘The Go-Between’. Filmed very locally at Melton Constable Hall and in Thornage (the cricket match), Heydon village green and church, and other nearby locations, the film stars Julie Christie and Alan Bates, in Joseph Losey’s screen adaptation of the classic novel by L.P. Hartley.
A young teenage boy, Leo, is invited to a wealthy school friend’s rich family estate and is drawn into a love affair between his friend’s twenty-something sister, Marian, and the family neighbour, even though she is engaged to be married. She uses Leo as a go-between, sending messages to her lover. As the hot summer of 1900 continues, Leo carries on being the messenger boy, and discovers more about the attraction between men and women along the way.
